Gavin Rossdale Talks Co-Parenting With Gwen Stefani During the Holidays

Gavin Rossdale is opening up about sharing parenting duties with ex-wife Gwen Stefani.

The 51-year-old musician reveals that the couple takes turns spending the holidays with their three kids – Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2 – and this year is Gwen‘s turn.

“It’s not my year [to have the kids], so I’ll be in London doing [The Voice U.K.] because I’m a coach,” Gavin told Entertainment Tonight. “I commute. When I don’t have my kids, I go to London.”

Although he won’t physically be with the kids this year, Gavin says he still wants them to learn to give back during the holidays, specifically through a charity called A Place Called Home, which helps provide at-risk youth with a positive family environment.

“It’s a fantastic charity. I’m looking forward to getting my children involved in some of the things they’re doing over Christmas,” Gavin added. “Because, you know, for all of us who are lucky enough to have made these lives for ourselves, our children don’t get the perspective that maybe we grew up with. So organizations like this, who do such great work for the inner cities – South Central L.A. – my kids need to know about that stuff.”
