Mischa Barton Slams 'DWTS': 'I Was So Glad to Get Kicked Off'

It’s no secret that Mischa Barton didn’t have a great experience on Dancing With the Stars, but now she is publicly slamming the show in a new interview.

The 30-year-old former The O.C. actress compared being on the show to being in The Hunger Games and says she was glad to be voted off. She was eliminated after three weeks of competition.

“Ugh, I had no idea it would be so bad. I got told off by my dancer,” Mischa told The Ringer. “I was supposed to control the costumes, I was told that I could do the design aspect of it, that’s kind of the reason why I agreed to do it.”

“That didn’t happen. It wasn’t collaborative like a choreographer on a film set,” she added. “I was so confused by it. It was like The Hunger Games. It was all a popularity contest. It was awful. I was so glad to get kicked off.”

Mischa was paired with Artem Chigvintsev, who documented his experience that season in an exclusive blog with JustJared.com. Read week one, week two, and week three.
