Sara Bareilles Calls Congress, Records Her Call to Encourage Fans to Take Action (Video)

Sara Bareilles is encouraging her fans to take action and call Congress by sharing a video of her own call.

The Grammy-nominated singer explained how she was terrified to make the call and that her heart was beating so fast while waiting to speak to the person on the other end of the line.

When someone picked up, Sara expressed that she is a constituent from Los Angeles who opposes Betsy DeVos and Jeff Sessions. She was then transferred to Kamala Harris‘ voicemail and she wasn’t able to leave a message as the box was already full.

“Scared to call Congress? Me too! Let’s do it together. Watch me call for the first time here,” Sara captioned the video on Facebook. Watch below!
