Richard Simmons Planning to Take Legal Action for Defamation

Richard Simmons is planning on suing a media company for defaming him several stories recently.

The former fitness guru’s lawyers plan on filing a lawsuit against American Media, Inc., the parent company of Radar Online and the National Enquirer, for a “a hurtful campaign of defamations and privacy invasions,” according to People.

It’s not yet known how much Simmons is seeking in damages, but the lawsuit will reportedly be filed today (May 8).

Richard has remained reclusive in the past few years and he recently was hospitalized for severe indigestion.
