Ben Affleck & Lindsay Shookus Allegedly Had an Affair While They Were Married to Other People

Ben Affleck and his new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus‘ relationship isn’t completely new. Allegations have surfaced that the couple previously had an affair in 2013 while they were married to other people.

The 44-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker and the 37-year-old Saturday Night Live producer “full-on had an affair. They would fly back and forth, but he would mostly visit her in New York,” a source told People. “They didn’t hide … They would use the Mandarin Oriental [hotel]. They were regulars.”

Ben was married to Jennifer Garner at the time and Lindsay was married to fellow SNL producer Kevin Miller when the alleged affair happened.

“Both of them were cheating on their spouses so they were very careful about it. Jen and [Shookus'] husband both found out about it around the same time,” another source added.

“They’ve known each other for a while. They’re dating – it is relatively new since he has been separated. It’s still in a really early stage. He’s working on himself, he’s working on being happy and healthy,” yet another source said. “There is not one reason why any marriage breaks up.”

Ben and Lindsay were spotted on a date night on Thursday (July 6) and she flew out of town the next morning.
