David Ogden Stiers Dead - Voice of Cogsworth in 'Beauty & the Beast' Dies at 75
David Ogden Stiers – the voice of Cogsworth in Beauty & the Beast – has sadly passed away after his battle with cancer. He was 75.
David‘s agent Mitchell K. Stubbs confirmed the news in a tweet on Saturday (March 3).
“I am very sad to report that David died this morning March 3, 2018 peacefully at his home in Newport, Oregon after a courageous battle with bladder cancer,” Mitchell tweeted. “His talent was only surpassed by his heart.”
Over his career, David starred in M*A*S*H, Matlock, Touched by an Angel, and Frasier along with voicing Governor Ratcliffe and Wiggins in Pocahontas.
