Geoffrey Rush Pulls Out of Shakespeare Play Amid Inappropriate Behavior Claims

Geoffrey Rush has decided to pull out of Shakespeare stage production in Australia, THR reports.

Melbourne Theatre Company revealed on Tuesday (July 10) that they received a statement from the 67-year-old Oscar-winning actor that he is withdrawing from his role in the production of Twelfth Night amid “inappropriate behavior” accusations made by actress Eryn Jean Norvill.

“Due to my current circumstances and medical advice, I must withdraw from the upcoming project,” Geoffrey told the company.

Back in April, Geoffrey‘s lawyer claimed that the actor is suffering from serious “lack of sleep” and “barely eats” amid the situation.

Geoffrey is currently suing The Daily Telegraph over the article the newspaper published alleging the behavior.
