Amy Adams On Playing Lynne Cheney in 'Vice': 'Surprisingly Ambitious'
Amy Adams happily poses alongside director Adam McKay while attending the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations for their upcoming film Vice held at The Robin Williams Center on Monday (November 26) in New York City.
The 44-year-old actress takes on the role of Lynne Cheney in the upcoming filmed based on former Vice President Dick Cheney.
“There’s nothing about Lynne that’s a velvet glove, [she was] surprisingly ambitious,” Amy recently expressed. “She is a very complex woman, very intelligent and outspoken, and not afraid to voice her opinion, and whether I agreed with her opinion all the time or not, I really valued that.
“For a woman from Wyoming in the 1950s — and she would hate this — but she’s kind of a feminist,” Adam added. “She was a straight-A student who got a PhD, who was tough as nails.”
