Timothee Chalamet Admits He 'Wept for an Hour' After Discovering 'Interstellar' Role Was Smaller

Timothee Chalamet flashes a smile alongside producer-director Lesli Klainberg while attending the Film Society of Lincoln Center screening of his latest film Beautiful Boy held at the Bedford Playhouse on Sunday (December 9) in Bedford, New York.

The 22-year-old actor recently opened up about the time he landed a supporting role in Christopher Nolan‘s 2014 science-fiction film Interstellar and how he felt after seeing it for the first time.

“When I did Interstellar, I saw that 12 times in theaters in IMAX. Christopher Nolan had a screening at Lincoln Square and he invited just some of the people from the cast, which is surreal because it’s a huge IMAX theater,” Timothee recalled on Actors on Actors with Emma Stone. “But it was me, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and John Lithgow. And I really had no career at this point, so I was like the fraud a little bit in this room. And I saw it and I loved it, but then I went home with my dad and wept for an hour.”

“Because I just figured my part was bigger,” Timothee added. “They didn’t even cut anything. I just figured… I don’t know what I figured.”
