Vanessa Hudgens Almost Auditioned For 'American Idol' Before Landing 'High School Musical' Role

Vanessa Hudgens gets lit while making an appearance on Live with Kelly & Ryan on Friday (December 21) in New York City.

The 30-year-old actress went on the show to promote her new film Second Act, which is now in theaters!

While on the show, Vanessa shared that when she was younger, she wanted to audition for American Idol.

“I remember when it first came out, the first season, I think I was like 14 or 15 years old and I was like, ‘I’m going to do that!’ and then High School Musical came along and I was like, ‘Maybe not’,” Vanessa said. Watch below!
