Natalie Portman Remembers Author Amos Oz After His Passing

Natalie Portman is mourning the loss of author Amos Oz.

The 37-year-old actress took to her Instagram to remember Amos, who penned autobiographical novel A Tale of Love and Darkness, which she made into a film in 2015.

The book follows Amos‘ relationship with his mother, who died by suicide when he was 12.

Natalie made her directorial debut with the film in addition to writing the script and playing Amos‘ mother.

“My heart is broken. Today we lost a soul, a mind, a heart, Amos Oz, who brought so much beauty, so much love, and a vision of peace to our lives. Please hold him in your hearts and read his gorgeous books. My most loving embrace to his family, who he loved extremely,” Natalie wrote.
