Gotta give it up to Ellen DeGeneres for trying!

South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg – who has been rising in the polls – stopped by the Ellen Show to talk his potential run for president, and Ellen really tried to get him to make his official announcement on her show.

“But you haven’t even announced yet, I mean would you like to announce here? You should announce here,” Ellen teased.

Pete then responded, “So, I can think of no better place than here except one, which is my hometown. We got a big event planned on Sunday and can’t wait to have as many friends and supporters as we can come and we’re looking to make some news.”
