Mahershala Ali Joins the Cast of Hulu's 'Ramy' for Season 2!

Mahershala Ali is joining Ramy!

The 45-year-old Green Book actor will join the cast of the Hulu comedy series, the company revealed on Friday (July 26).

Mahershala has previously said he’s a “huge fan” of the show. He will be a special guest star on the second season, which is set to debut in 2020.

Ramy stars Ramy Youssef as a first-generation Egyptian-American living in New Jersey, where he has a foot both in the religious community that believes life is a moral test and a millennial generation that doesn’t really believe in the afterlife at all. Season two will find Ramy taking his spiritual journey further as he finds a new Muslim community and embraces a deeper commitment to his faith.
