Tom Brady Reacts to Speculation Over 'Living With Yourself' Cameo

Tom Brady is speaking out after the media speculated that his cameo in the Netflix series Living with Yourself is a dig at New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

The 42-year-old football player, who is the quarterback for the Patriots, makes a surprise appearance on the show when Paul Rudd‘s character arrives at a strip mall massage parlor.

Rudd‘s character seems skeptical of going inside until he sees Brady walking out of the spa. If you didn’t know, Kraft was charged with solicitation of prostitution earlier this year at a Florida strip mall day spa.

“That’s not what that was about,” Tom said in a new interview. “I think that was taken out of context, just like you’re taking it out of context and trying to make it a story for yourself, which has a negative connotation to it, which I don’t appreciate. It was meant to be something different than that.”

“It’s unfortunate that people would choose to think I would ever do something like that about Mr. Kraft,” he continued. “I think that’s a very bad assessment of my relationship with him. I would never do that… I sympathize with a lot of things that he’s gone through in his life. I empathize with a lot of people that get taken advantage of and get used and understand that’s part of what we’re living in.”

Series creator Timothy Greenberg has also confirmed that the scene was written before the Kraft scandal.
