Sharon Osbourne Forced an Assistant Into Her Burning House to Retrieve Paintings, Then Fired Him

People are appalled by a story that Sharon Osbourne just told on a British game show.

While appearing on Would I Lie To You, Sharon had to tell a story about her past and then three contestants guessed if it was true or false. It was true.

In the story, Sharon revealed that her home was on fire and she forced her husband Ozzy Osbourne‘s assistant to go into the burning house to retrieve paintings off the walls. Then, she fired him because he didn’t think the situation was funny like they did.

“I thought, right, where is that assistant? So I go into the guest house, and he’s like, ‘Is everything alright?’ and I’m like ‘No, the house is on fire, get out and help, go in and get the paintings out.’ And there were dogs and I said, ‘You must go in and find the dogs,’” she said.

When the firefighters arrived, Sharon said, “They had this oxygen for the assistant. So I said, ‘How very dare you. You work here. You get more paintings out right now.’ I took the mask and I put it on my dog.”

“Well, after this terrible night, he was not talking to me. Ozzy and I were recounting everything, we were laughing and laughing, and [the assistant] goes, ‘I don’t see what’s funny about any of this,’” she recounted. “And he said, ‘I think I’m going to have damaged lungs.’ I mean, please. So then I just said, ‘If you don’t think that’s funny, do you think this is funny?’ And he goes, ‘What?’ And I said, ‘You’re fired.’”
