Hugh Jackman braved the cold weather and the freezing cold water for a polar bear plunge on New Year’s Day!

It’s a tradition for many people to kick off the new year by taking a dip at the beach despite the low temperature of the water.

“Hey everyone, it’s January 1, 2021,” Hugh says in the video before taking off his sweatshirt and running into the water. He captioned the clip with just the 🥶 emoji.

Hugh recently did an amazing thing for the holidays and it reportedly cost him $1.2 million to give the gift to all of the recipients.
