'American Idol' 2021: Top 9 Revealed, Plus See Who Went Home

The Top 9 contestants on the current season of American Idol have been revealed!

It was Oscars night on Sunday (April 18) and the Top 12 contestants all performed songs that had previously been nominated for Academy Awards. We heard music from such movies as The Wizard of Oz, The Greatest Showman, La La Land, and more.

The show aired live on both coasts and audience members voted throughout the show. At the end of the night, the Top 9 contestants were announced and they’re all being whisked away to Florida for a cool experience at Walt Disney World.

On Monday night, contestants from last year will be given the chance to perform for a space in the competition.

A former American Idol contestant actually called out the judges during the show for the confusing things they told the current contestants.
