'The Bachelorette' Spoilers: Katie Loses a Finalist After He Decides to Go Home

There were four guys left on The Bachelorette at the start of tonight’s episode, but one guy decided to self-eliminate and leave the show ahead of the hometown dates.

This guy went to Katie‘s hotel suite to tell her his decision before the hometown dates were set to take place… and this emotional moment was the only part of her journey we saw this week. The rest of the episode featured the “Men Tell All” episode where former contestants reunited to talk about the season’s biggest moments so far.

The contestant who went home this week is Michael Allio, who is a single dad following the death of his wife.

At the beginning of the episode, we saw Michael‘s FaceTime call with his son, who said, “Maybe daddy left because he doesn’t want to see me.”

Michael decided that he needed to go home to be with his son as he couldn’t think of anything else except being with him.
