News Anchor Jovita Moore Reveals Incurable Brain Cancer Diagnosis

Jovita Moore is revealing some incredibly difficult news.

The 53-year-old Atlanta news anchor was diagnosed with an incurable form of brain cancer, Channel 2 Action News confirmed on Thursday (July 29).

Two masses were found in her brain months ago. She asked the news outlet to share the news of the aggressive form of brain cancer, called glioblastoma. There is no cure, only treatment to slow it down, at this time.

Jovita has felt the love and prayers that people across the country have shared with her over the past several months. She is grateful for all the support and asks that you stay positive as she continues to focus on her health, her treatments and her family. Jovita is tough and ready for this fight,” the outlet wrote.

“Our girl is strong. Our girl is a fighter and she’s doing great every day,” WSB-TV Community and Public Affairs Director Condace Pressley said.

She is now undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to slow the cancer’s growth.
