The film will be set in World War II and will focus on “J. Robert Oppenheimer’s role in the development of the atom bomb” during the war.
Nolan‘s decision to move away from Warner Bros. could be because of the studio’s decision to release its 2021 film slate on HBO Max the same day as they hit theaters. Read what he said while slamming the studio last year.
It’s being reported that Cillian Murphy “might be involved” with the movie. He has already worked with Nolan on five movies: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, and Dunkirk.
Deadline says that “there will clearly be many big star parts” in the movie.
