Lil Nas X Reveals He Was Dating the Actor From His 'That's What I Want' Music Video

Lil Nas X has revealed the identity of his former boyfriend.

Shortly after confirming that he was single again, the 22-year-old rapper revealed that he was dating Yai Ariza, the actor/dancer from his “That’s What I Want” music video.

“We were dating, and we are still in very good terms,” Lil Nas X revealed in an interview with SiriusXM’s Hits 1 LA hosts Tony Fly and Symon. “You know, we may date again I’m sure.”

Lil Nas X released the “That’s What I Want” music video earlier this month, where he and Yai got very steamy in a locker room.

After releasing the music video, many fans believed that Yai was Lil Nas X‘s boyfriend, but he never confirmed his identity, until this new interview.

“I love him, he is amazing,” Lil Nas X continued in his interview. “I wanted to kind of focus on my music right now.”

Lil Nas X also said that Yai is “the best person I have ever dated,” adding, “I am still very much in love, I’m like trying to manage…If it’s meant, it will happen in the future, life is long.”

Along with the “That’s What I Want” music video, Yai was also a back-up dancer in Lil Nas X‘s “Industry Baby” music video, and was the dancer he made out with during his performance of “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” at the 2021 BET Awards.
