Nick Cannon Says Mariah Carey is 'Still Mad' That He Gave Their Twins This Gift

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon might get along fine these days, but that doesn’t mean that always see eye to eye!

In a clip from an upcoming episode of his daytime talk show, the 40-year-old host, and father of seven, revealed the gift he gave his twins, son Moroccan and daughter Monroe, for their 10th birthday that the 52-year-old entertainer did not want them to have.

“My oldest twins Roc and Roe wanted a cell phone at 8,” Nick told the audience. “I was all for it but Mariah was like, ‘Uh huh they aren’t going to be Googling us, learning about all their new brothers and sisters, no we aren’t playing,’”

“I respected it at 8 but then we made a deal and said at 10 then they can have it, [but] Mariah still said no,” he continued. “So at 10, I snuck and I still got them the cell phones for their birthday.”

Nick then went on to talk about Roc and Roe‘s birthday party, and revealed that he sneaked out before Mariah could yell at him over giving them their new cell phones.

“We had this amazing party with jump jumps, their friends came, it was so amazing. Then [when] it was time to open the gifts, I was like ‘I’m going to leave these right here and tell your mama I’ll be back,’” Nick said with a laugh. “Mariah is still mad at me till this day.”

Nick and Mariah were married from 2008 until 2016. They still remain super close as they co-parent Roc and Roe.

Along with his twins with Mariah, Nick is also dad to twin sons Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, whom he welcomed with Abby De La Rosa back in June 2021. A few weeks later, son Zen, with model Alyssa Scott, was also born.

In December 2020, Nick and Brittany Bell welcomed daughter Powerful Queen. They are also parents to 4-year-old son Golden.

In a recent interview, Nick revealed if he plans on having more kids.
