Alyssa Scott Shares A Statement After Son Zen's Death As Nick Cannon Reveals He's Expecting His 8th Child

Alyssa Scott feels at “peace” following the passing of her infant son, Zen, whom she shared with Nick Cannon.

The two made the announcement that Zen passed away last month at just five months old, after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

“I want to thank every single person who has messaged or thought of me over the last course of these last few months,” Alyssa began a new statement on her Instagram. “I always say Zen expanded my heart in ways I never thought possible. He filled that that space with compassion, knowing I would need that most.”

She then noted that it was “painful having my son be apart of conversations that aren’t in alignment with his light and legacy. It isn’t something I chose for him or myself.”

“It’s important for me to let you all know.. I am centered, I am at peace,” Alyssa added. “I look at everyone’s predicament with loving eyes. I will not judge. I will consciously decide what I will participate in. I am surrounded by love. God, my mom, dad, sister, brother and daughter continue to carry me.”

Alyssa and Zen‘s names were both mentioned after Nick confirmed he was expecting his eighth child, with model Bre Tiesi.

During the latest episode of his Nick Cannon Show, Nick said that he wanted to hold off on the news because of Zen‘s passing and to “respect the grieving process with Alyssa.”

However, after images of him and Bre attending their baby shower emerged, the news was then out.

“I didn’t know what to say when I was dealing with Zen or to hold off,” Nick said. “Even right now, that it came out yesterday, that wasn’t planned to talk about it. We wanted to, you know, hold on as long as we can, but it happened. We here and I’m with my family.”
