Adele Dedicates BRIT Artist of the Year Award to Son Angelo & Ex-Husband Simon Konecki

Adele has dedicated her Artist of the Year award from the 2022 BRIT Awards to two special people in her life.

The 33-year-old singer took to the stage to accept the honor and shared that her son Angelo, and ex-husband Simon Konecki are the reasons she won.

Following her two previous wins – Song of the Year for “Easy on Me”, and Album of the Year for 30, Adele stepped onto the stage for her third trophy of the night.

“Obviously i’d like to thank everyone that I work with like the labels and stuff,” she began. “But I’d like to dedicate this award to my son, and to Simon his dad.”

Adele added that 30 “was all of our journey not just mine and I’m very proud of myself for sticking to my guns and putting out an album that was about something so personal to me. There’s not many people who do stuff like that anymore.”

“My son has been so gracious and patient and kind over the past couple of years and it’s for him,” she said.
