Braxton Family Issues Statement After Traci Braxton's Death: 'We Will Miss Her Dearly'

The Braxton family is speaking out after Traci Braxton‘s death.

Traci‘s husband Kevin Surrat confirmed that she had passed away after a private battle with cancer on Saturday morning (March 12). She was 50.

“It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci,” the statement read. “Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”

They continued, “Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake. We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever.”

Traci appeared on Braxton Family Values alongside her sisters Toni, Towanda, Trina and Tamar, and their mother Evelyn, a.k.a. Ms. E. for seven seasons. She and her husband Kevin share a son, Kevin Surratt Jr.
