PEN15's Maya Erskine Replaces Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Amazon's 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'

PEN15 star Maya Erskine has been tapped to replace Phoebe Waller-Bridge in Amazon’s update of Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

Donald Glover, who co-created the new update and will also be starring, revealed the news himself.

In a new interview with Interview magazine, Donald revealed the news.

“What happened with Phoebe Waller-Bridge? She was supposed to be on Smith, right?,” Donald was asked to which he responded, “Yeah. But classic creative differences.”

He was then asked, “Are you and Phoebe still friends?” to which he responded, “What does it mean to be a friend? I still like her. I assume she still likes me.”

He then revealed Maya will star, adding, “Yeah. She’s dope. It’s exciting. I really love the show. I’m writing the finale now.”
