Emily VanCamp Returns as Nic For 'The Resident's' Season 5 Finale Airing Tonight!

Emily VanCamp is back on The Resident tonight!

The 36-year-old actress returns as Nic for the season finale, airing Tuesday, May 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Revealed earlier this month, Emily makes her return as Nic, who appears in flashbacks for Conrad’s (Matt Czuchry) story, as he attempts to move on from his relationship with Nic and pursue romance with another woman.

“We started to realize, what would hold a person back? Well, the love of his life who died. The mother of his young daughter,” showrunner Peter Elkoff explained about the idea to bring Emily back for just a moment.

He added, “We had to figure out a way to both free him and end that chapter. Emily was really up for the idea of coming back, so we built her story around that idea.”

Emily left the show as a series regular at the top of the season.
