'Rings of Power' Producer Addresses Princess Disa's Beard Controversy

While at 2022 Comic-Con earlier this summer, executive producer Lindsey Weber, confirmed that all the dwarves – men and women – will have beards.

“I can confirm that she has facial hair,” she shared. “Yes, I was there at three o’clock in the morning as each hair was lovingly applied one by one to make them regal and glorious. Can’t wait for you to see more of it.”

In another interview, Sophia opened up further about Disa, saying she’s “pretty badass and she literally uses her voice to move mountains.”

She adds that Disa “is for the people. She is fiercely loyal. She’s in a position of power at this point as is the whole of Khazad-dûm … and she is just an absolute explosion of everything that we can celebrate about dwarfs and of course, female dwarfs.”
