'The Pale Blue Eyes' Co-Star Harry Melling Talks Working With Christian Bale & If They Practiced Method Acting
Harry Melling revealed what it was like working with Christian Bale on the set of their new move The Pale Blue Eyes.
The pair lead the Netflix picture, which finds the Harry Potter alum portraying Edgar Allan Poe in a period piece.
In a new interview, Harry was asked if the Batman alum practiced method acting while on set, and he broke down the experience.

Harry told the Independent that neither he nor Christian practiced the traditional sort of method acting.
“My experience working on it was that we’d turn up, not really talk about the scene, and just start playing it,” he explained.
There was a caveat to his answer: “There was no staying in character, but I guess you’re always held within some form of character just because you’re wearing the clothes and you’re in that environment as that person.”
Harry also noted that Christian was “one of the most generous performers I’ve ever worked with.”
The Pale Blue Eyes premiered in select theaters on December 23. It will arrive on Netflix on January 6. Check out some pics of the cast from the premiere!
