Iggy Azalea Talks Her First Britney Spears Collab & How a Second Duet Would Be Different, Reveals What Britney Brings to the Table as a Musician

Iggy Azalea definitely has another Britney Spears collaboration on her mind.

If you forgot, the “Fancy” rapper and “Toxic” pop icon linked up on “Pretty Girls” back in 2015.

Although that was their last time working together in the studio, Iggy came to Britney‘s defense after she testified about her conservatorship back in 2021.

During a recent interview she revealed if they were still in touch and how she felt about making a sequel to “Pretty Girls.” She also paid Britney a lofty compliment.

While on Watch What Happens Live, Iggy confirmed that she and Britney do still chat via Instagram.

“Yes, of course,” she added about another collab. “My collaboration with her is always one of my favorite collaborations. I feel like… I’ve spoken about this before, but I just feel like there was so much we wanted to do with it that we never got to.”

She explained that Britney was “so limited” under her conservatorship.

“Now she has the ability to do it her way 100 percent. I love Britney, and she’s so much more creative than what people give her credit for. What she did with Elton [John] was so amazing and I would love to be a part of more of anything that she had to do, especially when they’re 100 percent her own ideas,” she added.

While Britney hasn’t said much about new music, she did collaborate with Elton John on “Hold Me Closer” in 2022.

She also revealed a new hobby on social media last week, and it is every bit as creative!
