Emily Ratajkowski Addresses Cheating Rumors While Discussing Ending Her Marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard

Emily Ratajkowski is reflecting on deciding to end her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard.

In July 2022, it was revealed that the 31-year-old model and the movie producer were divorcing after four years of marriage. The two share 2-year-old son Sylvester.

At the time, it was rumored that Sebastian had cheated on Emily and she seemingly confirmed the rumors with a few “likes” on social media.

In a new interview, Emily was asked about the cheating rumors while discussing her decision to end her marriage.

“I didn’t have the courage to leave for a long time. I was, like, really, really unhappy, and I was, like, 100 pounds, and I’d just had a baby, and I got really skinny because I was not okay,” Emily shared on the Going Mental podcast.

“I tried everything else,” Emily continued. “I tried to take antidepressants. I was, like, sure something was wrong with me.”

Even though ending her marriage took a toll on her, Emily said she’s learned a lot about herself from it.

“So much of what I learned of coming out of that relationship is, like, to trust your instincts and gaslighting is a real thing,” Emily explained. “I didn’t understand that it was actually gonna be so nice to come back to myself and, like, return back to how I see the world, how I understand things, my instincts.”

Emily didn’t specifically say what led her to ultimately end her marriage, explaining that she wants to protect her son’s privacy along and for “legal reasons,” since she and Sebastian aren’t “officially divorced” yet.

However, she did allude that certain boundaries were crossed in her marriage.

“I’m a very, like, on-and-off person. I will literally, like, sit with people that I love—friends, family, whatever—for so long, and then if there’s a line that’s crossed, I’m like, ‘Okay. That was it,’” Emily said. “For me, it was so clear, and then it just became clearer and clearer and clearer.”

Emily also recently explained why she feels like she can’t “casually date” while in the public eye.
