Britney Spears Reflects on Iconic Performance as Sam Asghari Imagines Their Ideal Movie Collab & Talks Conservatorships

Britney Spears looked back on one of her most iconic performances this week while husband Sam Asghari reflected on a chance for them to appear together on the big screen.

The 41-year-old “Toxic” princess of pop hopped on social media to share some rehearsal footage from her performance at the 2000 Video Music Awards. You know, the one where she stripped down to a nude bodysuit while belting out “Oops!…I Did It Again.”

She shared some tea about why she thought the rehearsal was better than the actual performance and made a notable revelation about her dancers.

In a post on Instagram, Britney opined that the rehearsal footage was better than the final performance. Why? “Because I don’t try,” she said, hinting that the pressure from the big moment makes the actual number harder.

She also wrote that she preferred to “only” have men onstage with her. The comment comes several months after she alluded to feeling bad about herself because of the women she shared the stage with while under her conservatorship.

Shortly after Britney‘s post, Sam opened up about the chance for them to appear together on the big screen.

“I think she’s a great actress,” he told TMZ when paparazzi caught him in the airport on Thursday (March 23). He said it “would be a dream come true” to appear in a project together.

What sort of movie? Beyond a rom-com, Sam had another idea.

“Maybe it’s an action film,” he mused. “She’s very athletic so maybe she’s able to jump up and kick a few people and do a bunch of stunts. I think she’d be really good at that.”

He also spoke candidly about conservatorships and if there is any benefit to them.

“Absolutely not,” he said, adding that Britney‘s “conservatorship was a total bulls-it move. It should have never happened.”

He continued, saying, “It should be illegal to put anybody under the conservatorship. That was the worst thing that’s ever happened in this country. The country of freedom, that should have never happened. Especially to her.”

If you missed it, Britney revealed her most-liked nude pic on social media earlier this month.
