Orville Peck Supports Friend & Collaborator Diplo Following His Comments About Sexuality

Orville Peck is firmly in Diplo‘s corner after the producer opened up about his sexuality in an interview.

If you missed it, the “Lean On” musician recently said that he was “sure” he’d received oral sex from a man at some point and referred to himself as “not, not gay.”

Orville, a gay musician and Diplo‘s friend and collaborator, weighed in on the comments and came to his support.

“I will say that he is a very sweet guy and he’s very open-minded, and I think he — just like any of us in the world — should be allowed the freedom and the space to explore whoever he is going to be or wants to be,” Orville told People about Diplo.

“And none of us need to police it or worry about it,” he continued. “He can have his own path and journey.”
