Vance Joy Marries Longtime Love Selen Us - Do You Know Which of His Songs is About Her?
Vance Joy has married the woman who inspired one of his hit songs!
The 35-year-old “Riptide” singer took to social media on Wednesday (June 14) to confirm that he and longtime love Selen Us had tied the knot.
The news comes only seven months after they told the Daily Telegraph that they were engaged.
Vance shared several photos from the big day along with his announcement.

In a post on Instagram, simply captioned with a butterfly emoji, Vance shared two photos of himself with Selen.
The first was taken from behind and shows them sharing a special moment in front of a body of water. The second shows them sharing a kiss at what appears to be the altar. They’re flanked by a massive amount of flowers in fiery tones.
Vance and Selen have been dating for years now. During the pandemic while he was in Australia and she was in Barcelona, she inspired his song “Missing Piece,” which peaked at No. 14 on the charts in his home country.
“I started writing it in Melbourne in lockdown. A lot of people were separated from their partners. In other songs I’ve talked about going home and that feeling of wanting to see someone,” he told the Herald Sun. “Whatever that does emotionally, I like that kind of story. I’ve steered towards putting more of myself into my songs more recently, more consciously. It’s just happened that way. This song is more direct.
He continued, saying “I’m in a happy place. There’s a real comfort in knowing you have a really good thing and it’s not going anywhere.”
