Mattel CEO Reacts to Will Ferrell Parodying Him in 'Barbie'

Ynon Kreiz, the CEO of Mattel, is reacting to his portrayal in Barbie.

In the new movie directed by Greta Gerwig, Will Ferrell plays a unnamed, fictionalized, and villainized CEO of the toy company. The movie also often poked some fun at the company.

While speaking with Variety, Ynon shared his thoughts on the fictionalized Mattel CEO depicted in the movie.

“I’m a big fan of Will, ever since the Zoolander days. There are so many elements of humor and self-deprecation in the movie,” Ynon shared. “And we embrace that. We take our brands very seriously. We take what we do very seriously. But we don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
