Singer Sinéad O’Connor was pronounced deceased on Wednesday night (July 26) in London, England, and the police have just released a statement.

She was 56 years old at the time of her death, and her family confirmed the tragic news in a statement as well.

A UK police representative told People, “Police were called at 11:18hrs on Wednesday, 26 July to reports of an unresponsive woman at a residential address in the SE24 area.”

“Next of kin have been notified. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the Coroner,” the statement added.
