Britney Spears cozies up to her boyfriend Jason Trawick at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 29-year-old pop princess made a surprise appearance at the beginning of the show to perform “S&M” with Rihanna, who she is pictured with below.

Later in the show, Britney will make another performance during the show. She will perform her hit song “Till the World Ends” alongside her Femme Fatale tour partner Nicki Minaj. Can’t wait!!

Beyonce stuns the crowd with a performance of her new single “Run the World (Girls)” at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 29-year-old entertainer received the Billboard Millennium Award during the ceremony and also is nominated alongside Lady Gaga for Top Dance Song for “Telephone.”

Beyonce was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, mom Tina Knowles, among others in a pre-recorded video played before her performance.

After Bey performed, Tina presented the award to Beyonce, who gave a touching acceptance speech.

Selena Gomez puts her hand on her boyfriend Justin Bieber‘s leg while sitting in the audience at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 18-year-old entertainer wore a Dolce&Gabbana dress, Neil Lane jewelry, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch while walking the white carpet. Justin wore David Yurman‘s Black Diamond Chevron Ring and cufflinks.

Justin is nominated for eleven awards during tonight’s ceremony and already picked up an award for Top Digital Artist.

Other awards that he is up for include Top Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Pop Album.

Britney Spears joins Rihanna onstage for a performance at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas, Nev.

Rihanna, 23, started off the performance of “S&M” before Britney surprised the crowd to perform her verse from their remix version of the song.

Britney, 29, will be hitting the stage later in the show to perform “Till the World Ends” alongside her Femme Fatale tour partner Nicki Minaj.

FYI: Rihanna and Britney wore Norma Kamali “Vogue Mio” swimsuits onstage! Brit also rocked a black patent leather bunny mask custom made by Alexis Bittar.

Ke$ha wears a dress with sexy cut outs on the white carpet at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 24-year-old pop singer is nominated for six awards during tonight’s ceremony.

Ke$ha is up for Top Pop Album, Top New Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Pop Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, and Top Digital Songs Artist.

The 43-year-old country rocker is performing during tonight’s ceremony. He will perform music from his new album Get Closer.

Next month, Keith will kick off his Get Closer 2011 World Tour, which starts on June 16 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Nicole, 43, stepped out to support her husband last week when he received a star on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville, Tenn.

The 26-year-old rapper, who wore a Mark Fast ensemble, is nominated for four awards during tonight’s ceremony.

Nicki is up for Top New Artist, Top Rap Album, and Top Rap Artist and Top R&B.

During the start of the show, Nicki joined host Ken Jeong and Train‘s Patrick Monahan to perform an original opening number.
