Lily James, Matt Smith, Bella Heathcote, and Douglas Booth sit among a theater full of zombies at JustJared.com‘s screening of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies on Sunday (January 24) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
All of the fans at the screening dressed up as zombies and helped us break the record for the most amount of zombies reading Jane Austen‘s classic book “Pride and Prejudice” at one time.
Some of the fans went all out with their zombie costumes and the cast picked out their five favorite looks. The winners all got a fun prize pack with swag from the film!

Lily James is every bit elegant at the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies photo call held at the London Hotel on Friday afternoon (January 22) in West Hollywood, Calif.
“I liked it because it reminded me to stand up straight and not slouch over and act like a slob,” Bella shared with JustJared.com about her training for the movie, where she wore a corset 24/7 on set while running, jumping, and sword fighting.
She added, “I love the relationships between Liz and Darcy, between Bingley and Jane, and between the sisters and I think those are the things that are still so present in this film. And then zombies are just a bonus! I got involved in the project through Burr [Steers]. I knew him kind of socially and he just suggested Jane to me so I was pretty lucky actually.”

We’ll have makeup artists on hand at the theater to get you zombiefied! We’re having a special “zombies caught reading” part of the event where we will go for the world record of number of zombies reading at once. We’ll provide copies of Jane Austen‘s “Pride and Prejudice,” so no need to bring your own!
Here’s the movie’s synopsis: A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.
The movie doesn’t hit theaters nationwide until February 5, so you’ll get to see it over a week before everyone else!
