Bryan Singer is responding to the new sexual misconduct allegations made against him.

The allegations were made by four men, who at the time of the claims, were underage.

“The last time I posted about this subject, Esquire magazine was preparing to publish an article written by a homophobic journalist who has a bizarre obsession with me dating back to 1997. After careful fact-checking and, in consideration of the lack of credible sources, Esquire chose not to publish this piece of vendetta journalism,” Singer‘s statement read (via Deadline).

Singer continued, “That didn’t stop this writer from selling it to The Atlantic. It’s sad that The Atlantic would stoop to this low standard of journalistic integrity. Again, I am forced to reiterate that this story rehashes claims from bogus lawsuits filed by a disreputable cast of individuals willing to lie for money or attention. And it is no surprise that, with Bohemian Rhapsody being an award-winning hit, this homophobic smear piece has been conveniently timed to take advantage of its success.”

Singer was fired as the director of Bohemian Rhapsody weeks before filming wrapped.

New allegations have emerged accusing director Bryan Singer of sexual misconduct with four minors.

The 53-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody director, who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct in the past, is being accused by four separate individuals in a piece investigated by The Atlantic. The 2 writers of the story say they investigated claims over a year while speaking to 50 sources.

One man, Victor Valdovinos, says he was only 13 years old when Singer allegedly fondled him on the set of Apt Pupil. Another man, who says he was 15 at the time, claims he had sex with Singer.

A third accuser claims they were 17 or 18 when they engaged in oral sex with the director.

The fourth accuser says they were 17 when they began their sexual relationship.

Bryan‘s lawyer told the publication that Singer “categorically denies ever having sex with, or a preference for, underage men.”

Bryan Singer is grateful for Bohemian Rhapsody‘s Golden Globes win.

After skipping the awards show, the 53-year-old director took to his Instagram on Sunday night (January 6) to celebrate his film winning Best Motion Picture – Drama.

“What an honor. Thank you #HollywoodForeignPress,” Bryan captioned the below photo.

The film’s producer Graham King took the stage to accept the award.

Neither Graham nor Rami Malek thanked Bryan during their acceptance speeches.

Back in December 2017, Bryan was sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a boy in 2003 when he was only 17-years-old.

Elsie Fisher is speaking out to defend her tweets celebrating Bohemian Rhapsody‘s wins at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards after receiving some backlash.

The 15-year-old actress was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her performance in Eighth Grade at the event held on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“IM SO HAPPY RAMI MALEK AND BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY WON GOLDEN GLOBES IM THRILLED TONIGHT IS THE BEST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote.

Later, she tweeted, “Why is everyone being so mean about this? I’m genuinely sorry if I did something wrong :(”

The backlash was in reference to Bohemian Rhapsody‘s director Bryan Singer‘s sexual misconduct scandal.

The movie Bohemian Rhapsody is nominated for multiple Golden Globes tonight and director Bryan Singer is celebrating by sharing a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most iconic moments of the film.

In the clip, Rami Malek walks on stage and starts to perform the title song “Bohemian Rhapsody” at the Live Aid concert.

The scene wasn’t actually filmed in an arena, but instead was filmed in an open field with a small group of fans on the floor and a green screen behind them.

This was the first shot on the first take of the scene!

Bryan Singer is preemptively calling out an upcoming Esquire article that will “rehash false accusations and bogus lawsuits” against him.

“I have known for some time that Esquire magazine may publish a negative article about me. They have contacted my friends, colleagues and people I don’t even know. In today’s’ climate where people’s careers are being harmed by mere accusations, what Esquire is attempting to do is a reckless disregard for the truth, making assumptions that are fictional and irresponsible,” the 53-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody director wrote in a statement released on Instagram.

“This article will attempt to rehash false accusations and bogus lawsuits. This article will misuse quotes from ‘sources’ that will claim to have ‘intimate’ knowledge of my personal life. It will also attempt to establish guilt by association simply because of people I’ve either known or met in the past. They will be attempting to tarnish a career I’ve spent 25 years to build,” he added.

The article has not yet been released and it’s unclear what might be written at this time. This is not the first time allegations have been brought against the director.

Bryan Singer is no longer an executive producer on FX’s Legion.

The show, now entering into its second season, will move forward without him in the wake of allegations of sexual misconduct.

“Bryan asked to take his name off the show, so we have done that,” the show creator and executive producer Noah Hawley told Deadline.

Legion is based on the X-Men comics. Bryan has previously directed, written and produced multiple Marvel films, including various X-Men films and the current Fox-Marvel series The Gifted.

Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn told Deadline that the network is “looking into” Bryan‘s executive producer title on The Gifted in light of the allegations.

Bryan was recently hit with a lawsuit for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy in 2003, which he vehemently denies.

Bryan was also fired from Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queen bio-pic, back in December due to “unexpected unavailability.”
