Fresh Off the Boat is coming to an end.

The ABC series will wrap production after six seasons, THR reported on Friday (November 8).

The show will finish after 15 episodes this season, and the final two episodes will serve as the series finale. A date has not yet been set for the finale episodes, but it will likely happen in early 2020.

Constance Wu made headlines earlier in the year for being vocal on social media about her unhappiness with the show’s Season 6 renewal due to the need to give up another project.

Fresh Off the Boat first premiered in 2015, and became the first network comedy based on an Asian-American family since Margaret Cho‘s All American Girl in 1994.

Former Crazy Rich Asians co-stars Constance Wu and Awkwafina walk the carpet together at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s 2019 Patron of the Artists Awards on Thursday (November 7) at the Wallis Annenberg Center of the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The two actresses presented together during the event. Other presenters included Olivia Wilde, Paul Rudd, Julia Garner (with fiance Mark Foster), David Harbour, Laurence Fishburne, and Willem Dafoe.

During the event, SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s President Emeritus JoBeth Williams was presented with a tribute award for her decade of service and her successor Courtney B. Vance was introduced. He was joined at the event by wife Angela Bassett.

Other event attendees included Kevin Zegers, Emeraude Toubia, and Sex and the City‘s Jason Lewis with longtime love Liz Godwin.

The four honorees at the event this year were Jennifer Aniston, Mark Ruffalo, Greg Berlanti, and Ava DuVernay.

Joining Jennifer at the awards event were her Hustlers co-stars Constance Wu, Lili Reinart, and Keke Palmer.

Will Ferrell also attended the event and if you didn’t know, he served as producer on Hustlers.

Constance Wu is helping celebrate women in film!

The 37-year-old actress stepped out for the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ Women’s Initiative luncheon on Wednesday afternoon (October 2) at the Rainbow Room in New York City.

She was also joined at the event by Cynthia Erivo, Meg Ryan, Greta Gerwig, Jennifer Nettles and Laura Dern.

During the event, Laura and Greta took to the stage to discuss their careers in the film industry.

The annual event, presented by E! and Swarovski, honors the Academy’s Women’s Initiative and its efforts to create opportunities for female filmmakers to connect, share their stories and celebrate inclusion.

Constance Wu hit James Corden‘s couch alongside Neil Patrick Harris on last night’s (September 16) episode of The Late Late Show!

Host James and the audience found out that the 37-year-old Crazy Rich Asians star used to work at a theme park singing the hits of the time, with her version of Jennifer Lopez‘s “Waiting For Tonight” being the highlight of her set list, long before they starred in Hustlers together.

“When I was 16, I worked at a little theme park called Paramount’s Kings the Minion,” Constance explained. “I was on one of their stage shows called Pop 40, where we sang all the hits. That was my summer job and one of the songs was a J.Lo song.”

Constance revealed that she lead the cover of J.Lo‘s 1999 hit “Waiting For Tonight,” and then proceeded to gift the audience with a comeback performance – Watch here!

Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu‘s Hustlers brought in $33.2 million from 3,250 theaters in its opening weekend at the box office.

During the filming of Hustlers, there were rumors that Constance Wu exhibited diva-like behavior (a rumor that was shot down by Constance‘s rep.)

Now, her co-star Jennifer Lopez is responding to the rumors and telling her side of the story of what she saw.

“I have the most amazing relationship with Constance. She was a doll baby to me on the set and to everybody every time I was on the set,” Jennifer told USA Today. “It was 29 days and I was there most days. I don’t know if there was somebody (talking to the media) who had a gripe or she had a bad day one day. Who knows? I know how this can go sometimes, and how really nice, good people can be portrayed as something other than what they are. That’s a fun headline for people but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. My experience with her was lovely. We became really great friends.”

Jennifer continued, “People are allowed to get cranky sometimes. I’m not saying that was her. But everybody’s human. So I don’t know where that came from but it wasn’t my experience at all. I love her. And she’s great in the this movie, too.”

Hustlers is in theaters tomorrow.

The night before, the ladies premiered their new movie during the film festival.
