Co-stars and real-life BFFs Ben Platt and Zoey Deutch hold hands at the premiere of their new Netflix series The Politician on Thursday (September 26) at the DGA Theater in New York City.

The star-studded event was attended by the show’s full cast including Lucy Boynton, Laura Dreyfuss, David Corenswet, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, Julia Schlaepfer, Trevor Eason, Trey Eason, Russell Posner, and Ryan Haddad, plus veteran cast members Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Bob Balaban, Judith Light, Bette Midler, January Jones, and Dylan McDermott.

Ryan Murphy and Gwyneth‘s husband Brad Falchuk, two of the show’s creators and executive producers, were also in attendance. Janet Mock, who directed an episode, was there too. Indya Moore, who stars in Ryan‘s show Pose, stepped out for the event as well!

The full first season of the show launches on Netflix on September 27.

Hollywood is a new series from Ryan Murphy that will debut on Netflix next year and the cast is growing!

Darren Criss was already announced as a star and executive producer and now The Politician‘s David Corenswet and Tony Award nominee Jeremy Pope have also joined the cast.

Both David and Jeremy will also be executive producers.

Collider reported that Jeremy is “expected to play a gay, aspiring writer in 1940s Hollywood.” Not much is known about the series yet.

David can be seen in The Politician, which launches on Netflix this weekend. Jeremy starred in the Broadway shows Choir Boy and Ain’t Too Proud. He received Tony nominations for both performances.

Ben Platt is joined by co-star Zoey Deutch and executive producer Ryan Murphy at the L.A. tastemaker screening of The Politician on Tuesday (July 23) at the San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, Calif.

The cast of the upcoming Netflix series stepped out to screen the first episode for some lucky people. The actors in attendance also included Lucy Boynton, January Jones, Dylan McDermott, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, and Rahne Jones.

Some of the special guests who stepped out to check out the show included Ed Westwick, Nia Vardalos, Charlie Carver, and Rob Lowe with his son John Owen.

Ryan‘s producing partner Brad Falchuk and Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos were there as well.

Ben Platt and Lucy Boynton are picture perfect at an intimate early screening of their upcoming Netflix series The Politician on Tuesday (July 16) in New York City.

A screening of the new show, created by Ryan Murphy and his team, was held at the Whitby Hotel and then all the stars attended a cocktail party at The Polo Bar.

More cast members in attendance included David Corenswet, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, and Julia Schlaepfer.

Some celebs who stepped out to check out the new show included Vogue‘s Anna Wintour with daughter Bee Shaffer, news anchor Gayle King, Stranger Things‘ Natalia Dyer, Mr. Robot‘s Carly Chaikin and Grace Gummer, Younger‘s Jennifer Westfeldt, and Ben‘s longtime close friends Beanie Feldstein and Francesca Reale.

Glenn Close is all smiles as she hits the carpet at Broadway’s The Prom special benefit performance hosted by Ryan Murphy on Tuesday (April 9) at the Longacre Theatre in New York City.

The Golden Globe winner was joined by Glee‘s Dianna Agron and Matthew Morrison with wife Renee Puente, Olympian Gus Kenworthy, Andrew Rannells and Project Runway mentor Christian Siriano at the performance benefiting Hetrick Martin, GLAAD, and The Trevor Project.

Also in attendance were Pose stars Billy Porter, Dominique Jackson, MJ Rodriguez, Hailie Sahar, Angelica Ross and producer Janet Mock, Riverdale‘s Casey Cott, The Boys In The Band‘s Robin De Jesus and Michael Benjamin Washington, The Politician‘s Laura Dreyfuss and David Corenswet, Jane Krakowski and Annaleigh Ashford.

It was recently announced that Ryan will be turning the Broadway musical into a new movie event for Netflix.

Ryan Murphy‘s The Politician has a premiere date!

The upcoming series is set to hit Netflix on September 27, the streaming service announced on Friday (March 22).

Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones and Benjamin Barrett are all set to star in the upcoming series.

Here’s a plot summary: Payton Hobart (Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara, California, has known since age seven that he’s going to be President of the United States. But first he’ll have to navigate the most treacherous political landscape of all: Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image. Full of dark comedy and sly satire, Ryan Murphy’s The Politician offers a rare glimpse into just what it takes to make a politician.
