A source is making a brief statement about the nature of Lily James‘ relationship with her Pursuit of Love co-star Dominic West.

If you don’t know the story, Dominic, who is married, was seen kissing Lily‘s neck last week. Photos were just released today of the 50-year-old actor and 31-year-old actress looking very cozy at the airport together as well. Be sure to take a look at all of those photos if you haven’t already.

“They worked together in the past but seem to have connected in a special way since they started filming in England over the summer,” a source told People.

Meanwhile, Dominic and his wife Catherine FitzGerald have since released a statement on the state of their marriage. Lily has not publicly commented on the rumors.

Lily James has cancelled another talk show appearance amid the Dominic West controversy.

Daily Mail is reporting that she was supposed to appear on the Graham Norton Show to promote her film Rebecca but pulled out. Lily pulled out of a Today show appearance as well, prompting speculation that she’s avoiding the public eye for now.

If you missed it, on Sunday (October 11), Dominic, who is married, was photographed kissing Lily‘s neck. The pair had recently wrapped filming for The Pursuit of Love and seemed to be very cozy.

In these brand new photos, Lily and Dominic are photographed at the airport on Monday (October 12), one day after they were caught engaging in PDA. Lily was seen hugging and leaning on Dominic at one point and it appeared as if they arrived in the same taxi together. Eyewitnesses also told Daily Mail they were “kissing and cuddling” while at the airport.

The source added, “At first, I thought she was his daughter, as I knew he was around 50 and you could tell she was a lot younger. Within minutes of the plane leaving, they began kissing and cuddling after both removed their masks. They looked like a couple heading for a dirty weekend and they were all over each other. They were French kissing and there was a lot of necking going on.”

On Tuesday (October 13), Dominic and his wife Catherine FitzGerald released a joint statement and were photographed kissing to show a united front amid rumors about their marriage.

Lily James just canceled an appearance.

The 31-year-old actress has pulled out of a planned appearance on Today after being seen kissing married co-star Dominic West, Page Six reported Sunday (October 18).

She was set to appear in the third hour of the NBC show on Monday (October 19), as she is currently in the middle of promoting her new Netflix drama Rebecca alongside co-star Armie Hammer.

A NBC source also confirmed to the outlet that the co-stars canceled their interview on the show.

She is also due to promote on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later this week, although it’s not yet known if she’ll still appear given the controversy.

In a video series for Harper’s Bazaar UK, given just one month before the photos emerged, Lily spoke about being rebellious in her past and making mistakes.

“I feel I’ve rebelled in that way, I was always a rebellious teenager and I think it’s important to rebel in that way. I think criticism can be good if it’s constructive but I feel like if it’s attacking you or a vendetta that’s really difficult but I’m still learning,” she said. “I’m still figuring it out but I do think I can grow and develop a thicker skin. All that matters is those who love you.”

She said she makes mistakes “all the time.”

“That’s what life is about,” she added. “I would never want to run away from a situation or be too scared to act. I think that it’s better to throw yourself in and make mistakes with an open heart.”

A source is speaking out about Dominic West‘s PDA photos with Lily James, the possible story behind them, and how Dominic‘s wife Catherine FitzGerald (pictured here) might have felt reassured.

The source, labeled as a “pal” of his, noted that Lily and Dominic were with their mutual manager Angharad Wood when the photos were taken.

“The fact that Angharad was there will have been very reassuring to Catherine as the two women are good friends,” the source told DailyMail.

“Angharad would not have stood for anything going on and he would certainly not be so stupid as to do anything in front of her. Dom has a bit of history with women from some time ago, but he’s much too clever to get caught out this way,” the source added. “The fact is he’s a very cuddly kind of person, really a big teddy bear, and you could probably have a picture of him like this with a dozen of his female friends.”

In a 2017 interview with the Irish Daily Mail, he spoke about how his wife Catherine FitzGerald had not watched his performance on the Showtime drama.

“My wife hasn’t watched it [The Affair] either and I don’t really want them to,” Dominic said. “My sisters were saying, ‘Yes, we heard it’s good [but] we heard you do certain things there and we decided not to watch it.’”

Dominic added, “Maybe they have watched a few [episodes] but my wife, wisely, hasn’t. I mean, it’s not something I’d like to watch her doing!”
