Doris Roberts Had a Stroke Before She Passed Away

Doris Roberts suffered from a large stroke before she passed away, according to TMZ.

The 90-year-old Everybody Loves Raymond actress passed on last month but there was no cause of death given at the time.

According to a medical document, Doris had been suffering from hypertension for years before her death.

She has been remembered in touching posts by many of her cast mates including Ray Romano, Patricia Heaton and Brad Garrett.

Brad Garrett Reacts to 'Everybody Loves Raymond' Mom Doris Roberts' Death

Brad Garrett has released a statement on the death of his Everybody Loves Raymond on-screen mom Doris Roberts.

The actress died on Sunday (April 17) at the age of 90.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Doris Roberts, an amazing lady and brilliant actor,” he said in a statement (via TheWrap). “Doris was vibrant and full of life both on and off the stage, and I am so grateful we shared so many wonderful memories. I will miss her greatly and will always remember her incredible kindness, humor, talent and heart.”

Patricia Heaton has released a statement on her Twitter account about the sudden death of Doris Roberts.

The 58-year-old actress wrote a post titled, “To my beloved Marie – RIP.” Patricia and Doris starred together on Everybody Loves Raymond from 1996-2005.

“Truly the end of an era. My wonderful TV mother-in-law and [Everybody Loves Raymond] nemesis Doris Roberts was a consummate professional from whom I learned so much. She was funny and tough and loved life, living it to the fullest. Nothing gave her greater joy than her three wonderful grandchildren, of whom she was so proud. It truly was a privilege Doris. I love you and miss you,” the statement read.

Ray Romano, who co-starred with the late Doris Roberts on Everybody Loves Raymond from 1996 to 2005, has released a statement on her death.

“Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped. Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly,” the 58-year-old actor told Deadline.

Doris passed away at the age of 90 on Sunday (April 17) in Los Angeles. Our thoughts are with her loved ones.

Doris Roberts, well known for playing the hilarious mother on Everybody Loves Raymond, has passed away at the age of 90, according to TMZ.

The 90-year-old actress reportedly passed on Sunday (April 17) in Los Angeles. There has been no official statement made, or cause of death revealed at this time.

Doris won a total of 5 Emmy Awards, including 4 total for her role on Raymond. Everybody Loves Raymond ran on TV from 1996-2005. The last we saw of Doris was in this hilarious Doritos Super Bowl commercial.

She is survived by a son, Michael Cannata Jr.
