Melissa McCarthy Has Had a Real Life Experience with Ghosts!

Melissa McCarthy poses with her Ghostbusters co-stars while stopping by Univision’s Despierta America on Monday (July 11) in Miami, Fla.

Also in attendance were Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, and director Paul Feig.

In a new interview with Chicago Sun-Times, Melissa talked about her real life experience with paranormal activity.

“It was when I was 19 and living in Boulder, Colorado, in an old house with a bunch of pals. There were like a million of us,” Melissa joked. “We were back in college. The day we got the house, I stormed upstairs and grabbed the attic [bedroom]” and claimed it for me and a couple of others. I thought I was very clever, because I stole the biggest room, and there were only going to be a couple of us up there.”

“Well, this will teach you about being pushy. As each of my friends went up there they each said, ‘Uh, I don’t think so. It’s weird up here. It’s very weird.’ Suddenly, I sensed it, too, and wanted to move back downstairs into one of the other bedrooms, but everyone said, ‘Oh no! You enjoy it up there with all your new friends who are from another realm!’” Melissa said. “What’s funny, is that every time anyone came to visit, they’d sense it too. They felt the strangeness. It wasn’t exactly menacing, but you definitely could sense the presence of some kind of spiritual activity. It was palpable.”

Ghostbusters' Leslie Jones Says No Designer Will Dress Her for Movie's Premiere

Leslie Jones, the star of the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot and one of the regulars on Saturday Night Live, took to Twitter to reveal that no designer would dress her for the movie’s upcoming premiere.

The 48-year-old comedian wrote on Twitter on Tuesday (June 28), “It’s so funny how there are no designers wanting to help me with a premiere dress for movie. Hmmm that will change and I remember everything.”

After posting the tweet, designer Christian Siriano posted a “waving” and raised hand emoji to indicate he may be interested.

'Ghostbusters' Cast Brings On the Slime for 'EW' Cover

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon are featured in their Ghostbusters costumes on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue.

Here is what the ladies had to share with the mag:

Kristen on honoring the franchise’s legacy: “You can’t get better than the original. But it’s a different movie, it’s a different cast, it’s many years later, and we’ve also done things that are different. It’s not just about it starring women.”

Melissa on issues over the all-female cast: “I just thought, ‘Really? Are we still there?’ It’s a movie. I never gave it another thought. You just have to go, ‘Well, I hope you get out a little more. The world is fun.’ I really think it’s the minority.”

Bill Murray on making a cameo: “It was only ’cause I knew these girls were funny.”
