Joel Kinnaman has filed a restraining order against a woman he had sex with back in 2018.

The 41-year-old actor says that the woman, model Bella Davis, is trying to extort him by threatening to tell the media that she had non-consensual sex with him.

Joel released a lengthy statement on his Instagram account in which he listed out the demands Bella allegedly gave to him to keep her silent. He also presented all of the facts in the situation to fans.

“Her threats of violence against me and my loved ones have become so serious and specific that I felt I had no choice but to seek a restraining order,” Joel said at the end of his statement. “I want to be VERY clear so there is no misunderstanding: I stand by all victims of sexual assault. That is not what occurred here. This was consensual sex. And now it is an attempt to extort. More importantly — this is a threat to the safety of my family and loved ones, which will always be my top priority.”

Joel, who is engaged to model Kelly Gale, stars in the new movie The Suicide Squad, which just hit theaters today.

The red carpet premiere of The Suicide Squad took place on Monday night (August 2) and many of the cast members were in attendance!

We counted 18 members of the star-studded cast on the red carpet, including returning stars Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney.

Other cast members at the event included John Cena (who dressed up in his character’s costume!), Sylvester Stallone, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Daniela Melchior, Michael Rooker, Alice Braga, Nathan Fillion, Sean Gunn, Flula Borg, Mayling Ng, Steve Agee, Jennifer Holland, Julio Cesar Ruiz, John Ostrander, and Mikaela Hoover.

Also in attendance at the premiere was writer and director James Gunn, who is putting his signature spin on the DC Comics property. The movie hits theaters and HBO Max on Friday and it has great reviews with a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes right now.

Joel Kinnaman and Kelly Gale are such a picture perfect couple!

The 41-year-old actor and the 26-year-old model shared a sweet kiss on the red carpet while attending the premiere of his new movie The Suicide Squad on Monday (August 2) at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles.

Joel will be reprising his role as Rick Flag in the new movie!

Earlier in the day, Kelly announced some very exciting news – she’s making her acting debut in an upcoming movie alongside a big star.

“Am I dreaming?! I still can’t believe this is real!! Started acting via zoom in the beginning of the pandemic and immediately fell in love with the craft. It felt so good getting of my comfort zone and feeling so passionate for something I was doing. Huge thanks to all my teachers, my reps @magnolia.ent @buchwaldtalent and to my biggest supporter and life partner the person who taught me the most @joelkinnaman ❤️,” Kelly wrote on Instagram.

Joel celebrated the news on his account too. He wrote, “So proud of my baby’s hard work finally paying off! Seeing you become obsessed with the craft of acting, discovering how deeply talented you are and willing to work so hard with so much discipline has been such a joy and inspired me as well! So happy for you to begin this next chapter. You’re gonna murder.❤️.”

Joel Kinnaman is enjoying a morning outing with his fiancee!

The 41-year-old actor and fiancee Kelly Gale stepped out on a breakfast date on Wednesday morning (July 28) in Malibu, Calif.

For their outing, Joel kept things comfy and casual in a black T-shirt and black shorts with a tan baseball hat while the 26-year-old Swedish model sported a pink, long-sleeved shirt paired with matching shorts and pink sneakers.

Joel‘s latest outing less than two weeks before the release of his highly-anticipated movie The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn.

Joel will be reprising his role as Special Forces officer Rick Flag in the upcoming sequel to the 2016 movie Suicide Squad.

Joel went surfing while Kelly relaxed on the beach with their dog. She was seen taking a dip in the water as well!

The weekend before, Joel and Kelly were seen at the beach for her photo shoot. He went shirtless while lounging around and going surfing while she worked with a photographer.

The 41-year-old actor went shirtless while hanging out at the beach while his fiancee Kelly Gale did a photo shoot on Saturday (June 12) in Malibu, Calif.

Joel was seen wearing a wetsuit with the top part hanging around his waist and he played with his dog while Kelly snapped photos with a photographer.

At the beginning of the year, Joel and Kelly announced their engagement and one of his famous exes actually left a comment on his post.

Joel Kinnaman is looking back on the release of the first Suicide Squad movie.

Back in 2016, the first Suicide Squad movie directed by David Ayer was released and was met with harsh reviews.

While promoting the upcoming The Suicide Squad, which is directed by James Gunn and will be released on August 6, the 41-year-old actor opened up about the first movie receiving the negative reviews from critics.

If you forgot, Joel played Special Forces officer Rick Flag in Suicide Squad, and will be reprising the role in the sequel.
