Dune producers and director Denis Villeneuve are not happy with Warner Bros’ decision to move the movie to HBO Max for streaming in October 2021, foregoing a major wide release.

If you missed it, HBO Max and Warner Bros. struck a deal to have every one of their movies stream on the platform, in addition to being released in theaters simultaneously.

Now, a source is speaking out about what might happen with Dune and Godzilla Vs Kong specifically.

According to Deadline, “Legendary is in a big fight that might result in lawsuits after it financed 75% of tentpoles ‘Dune’ and ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ and was completely blindsided. Rumors have the solution to that breach being to preserve ‘Dune’ as a traditional theatrical to preserve its franchise potential and since its October 1 release date falls well after the estimated late spring date when Covid vaccines should achieve herd immunity. ‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ might stay an HBO Max hybrid in its May 21 slot, but only if Warner Bros. makes a deal with Legendary that uses as a base the $250 million value established when the film was shopped earlier to Netflix.”

The reason Dune producers are not happy with the streaming decision is reportedly because they believe it could hurt the ability to make the film into a franchise.

The 52-year-old Deadpool 2 star took to his social media early in the morning on Tuesday (December 15) to post the photo of him in the buff.

“At the end of the day a life will judged by how often you were naked. Nobody told they meant metaphorically,” Josh captioned the photo, adding that the pic was taken by his wife Kathryn.

While the location of this photo was not disclosed, it could be from his new home, which is not in Los Angeles!

Josh Brolin has released a must-read statement about Chris Pratt, defending him at the same time as pointing out the irony that this is a major topic of conversation while we’re in the middle of a “rising domestic and global hate hand job.”

“I just found out there is another good person to hate on. Chris Pratt. I met him years ago as he was taking over an apartment I was renting. He was bigger then, and he was really really kind,” Josh posted on Instagram. Josh portrayed Thanos in the Marvel films and Chris stars as Star-Lord in the movies.

Josh continued, “Then I worked with him. Again, he was truly kind: a stand up dude, negativity always questioned and positivity and honor was typically at the forefront. But, as I was looking around to find someone else to hate on during this rising domestic and global hate hand job that we are learning to give, I heard he was available. So F*ck You, Chris Pratt!!! ❤️❤️🙏 (Next victim step forward!!!!!!)”

Josb Brolin is the latest star to exit from Los Angeles.

The 52-year-old Deadpool 2 actor is leaving Hollywood, according to Dirt.

He reportedly “sold a half-acre equestrian spread in the rustic (and expensive) Sullivan Canyon area of Los Angeles’ tony Brentwood community for $6.55 million, a few hundred thousand more than the $6.2 million he paid just six months earlier,” according to the real estate outlet, adding that he and wife Kathryn Boyd “plunked down $3.55 million for a picturesquely landscaped 1.5-acre estate in the leafy suburbs north of downtown Atlanta, before they quietly dropped $1.1 million on a Spanish-inspired home in an affluent neighborhood of Simi Valley, about 40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.”

The four-bedroom, five-bath property in Simi Valley has slightly more than 3,700-square-feet and the “two-story home on about half an acre of lushly planted grounds, was built in the late 1980s and, though clean as a whistle and fastidiously maintained, looks almost as if it were preserved in 1980s amber.”

The 24-year-old Oscar-nominated actor stars in the new sci-fi action movie directed by Denis Villeneuve alongside Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson.

Dune is a 1965 novel by Frank Herbert and the book was turned into a 1984 movie starring Kyle MacLachlan.
