“Spotify has been a part of this journey since the beginning. I remember back when I had, like, 50,000 streams. Spotify let me into their offices and let me see the charts and how I can make my reach larger to the world. And we saw those numbers rise together,” Lizzo told the crowd at the event.
The Grammys will take place on Sunday night at 8pm ET on CBS!

Alicia was honored with the American Express Impact Award, Brandi with the Trailblazer Award and Alanis the Icon Award.
“This is not women against men, and that’s represented in this room. You can see the equal share,” Alicia expressed during her speech (via Billboard). “We’re inspired by women who break down these barriers.”
“This is about more than just myself, this is about all of us,” Alicia continued. “I want to be able to be myself, and that’s what I recognize about all these artists. It’s the ability to be an individual, set your own path and blaze forward … we are so incredibly unlimited.”

Maggie Rogers has just shared a brand new called, “Love You For A Long Time,” and you can stream it here!
The 25-year-old producer, songwriter and performer dropped the song in honor of the astonishing journey she and her followers have shared since the release of her Capitol Records debut, Heard It In A Past Life, which has sold more than 600,000 adjusted albums to date.
“I actually wrote most of ‘Love You For A Long Time‘ the day before I wrote ‘Light On’. Those last days of finishing Heard It In A Past Life were such vivid and vital creative moments for me. I was dreaming up a future – for my music, for my life – and the possibilities felt endless,” Maggie said in a statement.
“For various reasons, but mostly scheduling, the song was left unfinished and unrecorded, but it always stuck with me and I’ve found its melody weaving in and out of my brain for the last year and a half,” Maggie continued. “Since then, a lot has changed in my life, but one of the biggest changes has been my relationship with my band. As we set out on our biggest tour yet this fall, I wanted to bring new work to our stage and give this song I love so much an arrangement that showcased the deep personal and creative bonds I’ve formed with these special people in my life. So I wrote a bridge, finished the song, and recorded it in LA in August. I produced it with my trusted friend and collaborator Ricky Reed, with some arrangement help from the brilliant Nate Mercereau on bass and guitar. It’s a song about love in all its forms — romantic love, the love I feel for my friends, the love I feel for my band, and the love I’ve shared with all of you.”
Maggie is up for Best New Artist at the 2020 Grammys – you can also stream “Love You For A Long Time” on Spotify and download on iTunes now!

Laura Dern is joined on the red carpet by friends Naomi Watts and Gwendoline Christie at MoMA’s 2019 Film Benefit presented by Chanel on Tuesday night (November 12) in New York City.
The Oscar-nominated actress, who is a frontrunner to win an Academy Award next year for Marriage Story, was honored for her career.
“Courageous is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Laura Dern. Not in the somewhat clichéd way it is often used to describe actors’ role-choices, but in the fact that she has made me a more courageous viewer,” MoMA’s film curator Rajendra Roy said in a statement.
He added, “Her disarming ability to shake us loose from false conventional moorings and thrust us into moments of profound truth has made her an essential artist in cinema for the past thirty-five years (she started young!). She is the ideal honoree as we inaugurate a new, more open chapter in MoMA’s history.”
Maggie Rogers is speaking out after an audience member catcalled her during the latest stop on her Heard It in a Past Life Tour.
The 25-year-old singer says that near the end of the show in Texas, which was the second-to-last of her tour, an audience member yelled “take your top off.” Another concertgoer even joined in on the sexist behavior.
“i was stunned. furious. fuming. confused. and also – on a really basic level – it really hurt my feelings,” Maggie wrote in a note on her Twitter account.
