Sweden's Hot Prince Carl Philip Goes Go-Karting in a Race Named After Him!

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden is all smiles while getting ready to participate in the inauguration of the GTR Motorpark on Saturday (August 29) in Eskilstuna, Sweden.

The 41-year-old Swedish royal rode in a go-kart during the Prince Carl Philip Racing Trophy, a race that was named after him!

There are some reports out there that claim Carl Philip was involved in an accident during the training ahead of the race, but it looks like he was totally fine during the big event.

Prince Carl Philip has been on everyone’s radar ever since there were photos of him going shirtless on a yacht back in 2014. He is now married to Sofia Hellqvist and they have two kids together! (See photos from their wedding!)

Sweden's Prince Carl Philip & Princess Sofia Celebrate 5th Wedding Anniversary With Never Before Seen Pics

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary this weekend!

The Swedish royal couple commemorated the special day in their lives by releasing a handful of new, never before seen pictures from their wedding on their official Instagram.

Now the Duke and Duchess of Värmland, Carl Philip and Sofia said “I Do” at the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace in the centre of Stockholm on June 13, 2015. The ceremony was followed by a reception and dinner.

Some of the notable images include Carl Philip being assisted by best man Jan-Åke Hansson as he puts on his military uniform and Sofia taking a selfie with her father, Erik Hellqvist.

The caption of the post is an excerpt from Carl Philip‘s wedding speech and reads: “Sometimes you come to a crucial choice; a choice that determines your whole future and is about who you are, and above all about who you want to be. Often it requires courage. Courage not to choose the easy route just because it is easy, but the courage to stay on the hard road because it is right.”

Swedish Prince Carl Philip Joins The Army During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden has decided to join the Swedish Army amid the coronavirus pandemic.

News of the 41-year-old royal’s new rank and role was revealed on the royal house’s Instagram with an image of him in uniform.

“Since mid-May, Prince Carl Philip has served a reserve officer with the rank of Major at the Defence Headquarters,” the caption says. “The Prince is now located at the Operations Command Centre, which directs and coordinates operations for all combat forces. From the command centre, the Armed Forces also support and coordinate the community for the COVID-19 pandemic. The service is performed at the Prince’s own initiative”.

Carl Philip also holds the rank of Major in the Swedish Navy.

Earlier last month, Carl Philip‘s wife, Princess Sofia, gained international news as it was announced she had become a hospital assistant to aid frontline workers during the pandemic.

Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip & Princess Sofia Release Statement on Avicii's Death

Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden are mourning the death of of DJ Avicii (aka Tim Bergling) after his tragic death this week.

If you don’t know, the superstar performed at their wedding back in 2015.

“It is with great sadness that we received the news that Tim Bergling has died. We are grateful that we got to know him and admired him as an artist and the nice person he was,” the royal couple said in a statement. “He made our wedding unforgettable with his amazing music. Our warmest thoughts go out to his family.”

Princess Sofia & Prince Carl Philip Welcome Second Child!

Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden have welcomed their second child!

The royal couple announced the news on Instagram.

“On Thursday, 31 August at 11:24 a.m., Princess Sofia welcomed a healthy and prosperous child at Danderyd Hospital,” the statement read. “Both mother and child are doing well.”

The statement did not confirm the sex of the newborn, so stay tuned as we find out more!

The couple welcomed a baby boy, Prince Alexander, in April of last year. They married on June 13, 2015.

Sweden's Prince Carl Philip & Princess Sofia Expecting Second Child

The Swedish royal family will be getting a new addition this fall!

Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia announced that they are expecting their second child, due in September!

“We are happy to announce that we are expecting a child, a sibling to Prince Alexander. We are looking forward to welcoming a new little member to our family,” the couple said through the Swedish Royal Court.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have been married since 2015 and welcomed their first child, Alexander, in April of 2016.

Swedish royalty Princess Sofia and her husband Prince Carl Philip have welcomed their first child together on Tuesday (April 19).

Princess Sofia has given birth to a healthy and prosperous child at Danderyd Hospital on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:25 p.m. Both mother and child are doing well,” the palace announced today (via People).

The new baby is reportedly the fifth in line to the Swedish throne. The sex of the baby has yet to be revealed, though the couple is expected to make another announcement.
