'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Takes the Top Box Office Spot!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 has topped this weekend’s box office with a $35.3 million gross!

According to THR, the sequel starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and Stephen Amell, came in 46 percent behind the 2014 reboot film.

Coming in at No. 2 was X-Men: Apocalypse, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and more, earned $22.3 million in its second weekend for a domestic total of $116.5 million.

Taking the third spot was Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin‘s new romantic film Me Before You, which debuted to $18.3 million.

Rounding out the top five were Alice Through the Looking Glass and The Angry Birds Movie, which grossed $10.7 million and $10.8 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, Andy Samberg‘s new mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping brought in $4.6 million.

Megan Fox & Stephen Amell Bring New 'TMNT' Trailer to WonderCon - Watch Now!

Megan Fox poses alongside her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows co-star Stephen Amell while promoting the film at WonderCon at the Microsoft Theater on Friday (March 25) in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old actress and Stephen were joined at the event by the movie’s producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form for a panel discussion about the film.

During the panel, it was revealed that Fred Armisen will be lending his voice to the film to play the role of super villain Krang.

The sequel stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Pete Ploszek at Leonardo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello.

Little is known about the plot, but the film is based on the TMNT characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman.

Megan Fox's 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Casts Brian Tee As Shredder

Megan Fox flashes a smile while stepping out of her trailer on the set of her upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 on Monday (April 27) in New York City.

It was just announced that the 28-year-old actress will be joined in the film by Brian Tee, who will play iconic villain Shredder.

Brian just finished shooting the NBC pilot Love Is a 4 Letter Word and can be seen on the big screen in the highly anticipated film Jurassic World, which stars Chris Pratt.

Stephen Amell Signs Up to Play Megan Fox's Love Interest in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2'

Stephen Amell has just signed up to star in the upcoming film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, according to Variety!

The 33-year-old Arrow actor will take on the role of Casey Jones, “a loner who becomes an ally of the turtles and a love interest for April O’Neil (Megan Fox).”

Stephen tested for the role with six other actors over the weekend, but his chemistry with Megan is reportedly what won him the role!

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Stays at No. 1, 'Let's Be Cops' Tops 'Expendables 3' at Weekend Box Office

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles maintains its No. 1 position at the top of the box office this weekend with $28.4 million grossed!

According to THR, the flick, starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and more, now has a domestic total of $117.6 million.

Keeping the No. 2 spot was Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, and more, which earned an additional $24.7 million for a total of $222.3 million so far.

The new comedy Let’s Be Cops, starring Jake Johnson, Damon Wayans Jr., and Nina Dobrev, impressed with a $17.7 million debut.

Unfortunately, the star-studded action flick Expendables 3 fell below expectations, bringing in $16.2 million in its first weekend.

Rounding out the top five was The Giver, starring Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, and Katie Holmes, which earned a respectable $12.7 million.
