Jude Law Kicks Off Cannes Film Festival
Jude Law opens the 60th Cannes Film Festival Wednesday with the New York-California road trip tale directed by Wong Kar Wai. This film will mark the acting debut of Norah Jones. Co-stars Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz did not make it to the kick-off.
“I remember the first take we did, my voice was really [squeaks] high,” Norah told The Associated Press. “I was just terribly nervous, and Kar-wai came over and patted me on the back and I relaxed a little.”
Kar-Wai was impressed with Norah‘s acting abilities: “We rolled the camera and she cried, and after that I said, ‘well, it’s great,’ and she said, ‘do you want one more?’”
